Pokemon OCs

Is it headcanon if they're yours though, wouldn't that just be canon?

The OC Thought Process

Since I've decided to basically condense the map, trainer headcanons, and OC creations all onto one page rather than splitting them page by page, what exactly is my thought process behind making OCs?
It's not really that special. I like worldbuilding so I kind of try to make up people who could be in pokemon as both NPCs and battlers, sometimes I tend to take my clear parties and split the pokemon amongst OCs. If the OC in mind isn't a potential rival, they'll tend to live in one town, and I'll attempt to envision their day to day life from there and how it would affect their pokemon. Like a person who has fossil pokemon. How would they interact with the world around them with a pokemon that is from the past? Will people ask them about their pokemon? How did they acquire said pokemon to begin with?
Then you consider the pokemon too based on their moveset and dex entries. Are they temperamental? Does it like the town that it lives in? Would it want to be a battler, potentially clashing with the OC?
It's a fun process to think about it as opposed to the games where you kind of chuck the ball and move on.

I've been doing a bit of research in between playing masters and what not, scouring wiki pages to get info on humans of the pokemon world. I never really realized how weird some characters can be, and I'm hoping now that I know that knowledge I can try to add more elements to the OC thought process to make it more interesting.

I wish it was slightly easier to make OCs with pokemon games themselves though, most accessible one for switching up design wise is Scarlet but that one is stuck to just school uniforms.

In Game OCs

Lani: A girl known as "The Last Trialgoer" because after she took the trials Alola went through a massive upheavel by the pokemon league. Her story is told in snippets throughout my Alola sequel story

Bow Burberry: She doesn't even participate in the gym challenge, she's a mail delivery girl.

Original Characters (Kanto Mode)

• Sepia: Sepia Rosencrantz, the former champion of the Indigo League who inexplicably went missing a few years after his reign causing a massive chain of events to happen in my fic story "Generation 0". Has a shiny Charizard, and that's as much as I can give out because I'm still working on Gen 0. It's more or less a story that's focused on the gap period between the indigo league and stuff on capsule monsters.
• Mikhael: Mikhael "Misha" Tomas is a boy who was came abroad from Sinnoh alongside his brother during the events of Gen 0 to do research into legends. He wears a Trapper Hat. Why is that the only thing I have detailled about him right now...
• Yui Verde and Camil Azure: The other protagonists in Generation 0, Yui looks like a Lass, Camil looks like an Ace. Yui is from the beta red name Yuuichi, which I learned meant "first born son" so I cut off the name. Her parents are kind of dissapointed in the fact she's a girl. These two make it to the league tournament but both end up in knock out.
• Indigo: A boy who's a composite character for whenever I play pokemon orange islands inspired hacks and fangames. He's one of Tracey's friends alongside Todd Snap and they make up some kind of artist trio.
• Dust: A girl from my fire ash playthrough who relives the events of Ash Ketchum. Is traveling with Gary after a long list of events.

The way I almost forgot that Ketsuban is a Kanto OC... bruh.

Ketsuban: This guy has such a ludicrious out of universe story where I need to specify that the original guy came to me in a dream. A cheerful young boy, but he's kind of weirdly offputting in his nature as a "glitch user" where he kind of clips in and out of reality. It really doesn't help that his power is related directly to Missingno which only makes him look like a visual nightmare. You know what, let me go make a page for this guy because if I explain it here it's gonna be a long wall of text.

Misc OC Info I pulled from a Page

Fina and Geo: My team aqua and magma OCs for my chosen legends fic. Both are loyal to their gods, but when the human vessels prove to be more than just empty shells the two of them break out of the team which starts a high speed chase across the hoenn reigon.

I never really bothered adding these two into anything site wise since Fic November got cancelled, these two are from a fic I made a while ago.


Roche was named after the Roche limit, and Robin was named for the bird.

Protagonist Variants (Different from Headcanons) Older character concepts I've written about: A Red who joined Team Rainbow Rocket but with Amnesia, different from my Rolewsap Red
Silence Trio: A kanto legends AU taking place during the period of samurai, based on a piece of official artwork where Red was Yoshimitsu. I might reupdate this page but for now this is about it Pokemon wise.

I can give out trivia here though! I make OCs based on completed games and halls of fame. A lot of times I center them on going on their own stories and existing in the world as is rather than overtaking the game player characters minus a few exceptions. My Mystery Dungeon teams have been sorely lacking in documentation since Team Worsties. I have a blue rescue team that in comparison is far more well composed than them (but this came about during my yugioh GX phase so all their team members are named after Yugioh GX characters.)

Iron Tamer and Primal Wielder: I have like a single image of them in the gallery page I'm gonna put don't worry, they're my AU versions of scarlet and violet protags where I went "what if they had paradox forms" because I thought the concept was cool but since I haven't played ScaVio I don't have anything else to say about them aside from "robots cool. dinosaurs also cool." This is why I love grimlock from transformers. Rudy and Nayra: Two siblings who only recently found out about each other and have to go to school. August: A graduate transfer from the kanto region who's mostly there on a school research trip by a certain professor's request. Things get a bit crazy eventually.

Rumorsverse

Ketsuban was a character I literally dreamed about so the entire universe really just runs on dream logic. They've got their own site now, so chances are that this entire The whole comment on him being an “immortal 12 year old” thing is not a bit. He’s legitimately stuck at that age physically. Every other glitch user ages normally in comparison including his clone.

Faraday Family: A group of exorcists who work frequently to get rid of things that infringe on the domain of the lord (poke-christianity is real in this universe, sorry) that were more established, like curses and demons and ghosts . Virtual rumor cyber demons are kind of out of place though.
