Yugioh Gx is very different in the dub, even more so when there’s an entire season they didn’t even dub Got fixated on Yugioh GX when I was in community college and I would spend every day during my lunch break drinking protein shakes and on the official site watching it in the dub If I ever watch it again I’m doing it in subs because they completely butchered season 3 and killed Jaden at the end of the season so they didn’t have to dub 4 and it took until the movie and duel links for him to get a conclusion 4kids butchering a dub beyond belief to the point they’re barely even the same show? Must be a day ending in y. They’re okay for delivering nostalgia and some jokes if they’re not horribly dreadful in terms of xenophobia and parody and meanness, but there’s a reason they’re pretty much the epitome of “what not to do when making a dub” and also one of the reasons dub vs sub discourse is a thing imo
