lost zone

Talking about Games that are either dead because of shutdowns or just dead to me personally.

Worse than Dead, getting turned into a Crypto Game, which I didn't even know was an option Hero Ball Z Apparently Brave Frontier ALSO did this which sucks

Dead MMOs/Websites

I'm pretty sure I can just label most MMO virtual pet sites that got completely gutted when flash got taken down or became money pits like Poptropica Club Penguin (to me) Let’s be honest there’s only so much time in the world and the last club penguin server I tried was seized by the London police so I’m not really that willing to try again

Can you guys bring back pixie hollow

Trickster Online/Talesweaver/Dead KMMOs I've never played it, but I saw a video on it once, and then I wanted to play it. Well, I’d love to play trickster online; but they shut down all official servers, sometimes PServers have insane behind the scenes drama that lead to them imploding, or you know, they could be seized by the government or the actual company could instantly obliterate it.

If only there was some sort of like, thing that asked, hey, stop killing games, or something, so that way when a server eventually goes kaput people can have ways to experience a thing without it just being YouTube videos.

Dead Games

Pirate power and happy street Not dead but the developers haven’t updated in 2 years Classified as more of a zombie game then

Dragalia Lost A crisis has befallen the Kingdom of Alberia. The power of its Sacred Shard is fading, and the kingdom is in turmoil. A benevolent prince, seventh heir to the Alberian throne, departs from the capital to save his home. Man I miss dragalia. My sweet party prince. Priconne died before english Dragalia though
A lengthy end note

The dragalia shaped hole in my heart will never be filled, that game introduced me to DAOKO and also was one of the story inspirations for a later iteration of one of my OC stories. I really wish the entire soundtrack got uploaded aside from the earlier songs but it makes sense a lot of them didn't get to streaming services. (Like the one by Ano that was used for a summer event.) I still remember when they had wyrmprints in the 5 star pool, that was PAINFUL. The game really did have incredible QOL updates and a lot of gifts, which I guess might've been a contributing factor to it's death because whaling wasn't necessary because the gacha rates were incredibly kind in comparison to other games which will wring blood out of you before spitting out a 4 star. Like the game had a lot of stuff going for it, like the fire emblem collabs and megaman and persona stuff and a world where anything could happen since it was built on top of a dead civilization where they went backwards in progress because there were robot people at one point and one of the major plot things was the rediscovery of GUN and one of the MC’s sisters got a machine gun and I’m here like “yeah, go girl!”

The plot was kind of barebones for a while with the whole “your princess is in another castle (she’s your sister BTW) and you have to collect the dragon pacts to do something and everyone in your royal family is kind of weird” but then it picks up with a lot of stuff about the drama of the royal family and the MC secretly being a homunculus of one of the dead sons but it turns out he was alive and pissed off he got replaced and then there was like, an evil anti dragon that then also possessed the sister and there was also a time traveling version of that sister . By the way, the church knew about the anti dragon the whole time and there was an entire conspiracy about if they should reveal if the anti dragon came from their equivalent of Mary (from Bible) This was one of the games where I really did start paying attention to story in a gacha game, the ones before that either were barebones (Brave frontier) or shut down (chain chronicle, BF did too) and Fire Emblem Heroes was only on like Book 1 or 2 and they didn't really have stories centric on 1 character and their story like Dragalia did with every unit (CC also did this) and also, it's a gacha game where the story was completed before the servers went. (I think SinoAlice did this too or it tried to, idk, I did not pay attention to it.) Food Fantasy does not have a well presented plot, I'm surprised that game is still going. Magia Record died uncermoniously, Priconne died too even though Pipple was meant to be there for the collab, and I haven't touched any of the final fantasy mobile games. (FGO is in this weird spot where you basically have to go through a lot of it before you start hitting the better stuff is what I've been told so it's a long hal. I had downloaded a lot of mobile idle games at some point... quite frankly it's been super weird seeing phone games go from stuff like doodle jump and office jerk to the way they are now. I'm sure some of them have great plots and memes but I don't really have the time to dedicate my time to gambling simulators. I miss sonic runners.

But for a while they really did make me think “okay well what if the main character did have an evil counterpart outfit and his evil dragon creature since they keep foreshadowing that’s a thing , can I see that, can I see the evil villain outfit he's gonna get when he fuses with the big bad” and the answer was “no.” There were a lot of events, I'm glad they didn't lock them all behind reruns and instead had an event compedium where you could replay them, a lot of games could do really good with doing stuff like that instead of relying on FOMO (staring heavily at Genshin)

There was a lot of stuff that happened with the plot later on but I kinda stopped paying attention last time I really was into it was when the gang fought a different satan Like real Satan Then they used the power of friendship to defeat super Satan (this game has 3 Satans) And the dragalia was lost, because that’s what dragalia was Friendship

The main character sacrificed his life so his friends could live on in a world without him (because they forgot him) but the power of friendship brought him back I wish I had any screenshots but they were all on my old and dead phone.

Megaman Mobile Games Rockman Xover not even making it into X-Dive was nuts tbh because that was the premiere crossover game, never played it though I tried to play X-Dive, had Zero interest in it, and by the time I remembered the game existed it was already GONE for english localization But it's technically not dead, because there's the offline version I'm not paying 20 bucks for it though, that's nuts.

Magia Record I barely recall magia record but I remember registering for it so I probably played it like once, dropped it like a hot rock, and then only remembered it when the anime started airing only for it to be dead

Gumi Graveyard

I tried brave exivus for a bit but not longer than I played opera omnia I really wish offline versions were more common instead of sit blowing up the entire game
Brave frontier
My first experience with units that could have lore related to,each other so I’d go onto the wiki to see how their stories played out Mostly sad because to be summoned most of the time you were already dead I used to just draw these guys a ton because I thought the designs were that cool as a kid… If you grinded enough eventually a boss unit would be dropped Having to grind on different days of the week for different evolution units and ghosts and coins Buying random music from the shop after upgrading

Chain chronicle

Looking on the wiki and remembering rushing through to get to main story 2 before shutdown (it’s been a decade, wow), raids on demon bosses, character plots (hey, that’s the rich guy who’s armor was so heavy or was it fake), voice lines (your face is ugly!) and plot points (the black knight was a time traveling version of the MC and the main girl’s book was evil and corrupted and her dad and it flew away) and remembering how chibi everything was and how it was like a grid tower defense and one of the royal princesses snuck out and used a doppelgänger in place of her and the merchant guild leaders were super powerful and there was a wizard tower and people who became demons if they crashed out and a grave robber in the wizard tower and an elf that kept getting drunk and like an elf land in the ocean and a continent of oni people with fire powers and horns and things and two magicians who had duel skills when they were on the field together and a crybaby magician and one that just became a legit magical girl without the collabs attached and I liked thr gameplay style And you can’t play it anymore
And then I had to move onto a fake version that had pokemon gijinkas You can’t play that one anymore either.
I still go onto the wiki just to see units pop up and go “oh cool, that unit I used got a new update!” Or “that character looks cool… wonder what their story was…”

Play for fun instead of addictions. Arrange your time and enjoy a healthy life.

Phantom of the kill

POTK was feh before feh came out and it was alright but not good enough to last long They were weapons turned into humans

SCUMI turned everything into NFTs and blockchain though so ptooey. One of the many tales of mobile games that died but IDK which one I think I played two of them All I remember from tales games I watched my friend play was Luke’s whole deal, the time we just kept calling Kratos the god of war, and the time Lloyd gaslit Colleen about coffee (to be fair in context it is a very dramatic scene)

I keep checking my app purchases and seeing more games I used to jump from have died
Latale M is gone
“I think live service games should have offline modes as the default once they inevitably shut down” is somehow a take people argue against Single player games shouldn’t need constant WiFi...
I’ve been looking into playing brave nine, which is a game that has a fully offline version that I can play despite not having any of the units or whatever necessary
Alchemy stars? Not playable. I didn’t have the special QR code so it’s literally unplayable.
Brave frontier? Chain chronicle? Phantom of the kill? All completely wiped from existence. Same with the alchemist code. Love Live? Gone.
There’s this one little farming game I used to enjoy a lot, it was called minion forest, it even had a steam edition, and since it’s all shut down it’s literally impossible to even find the game anymore and most searches will bring up actual minions from the despicable me franchise.
Every single anger birds game like ever I’ve never seen a mobile franchise this dedicated to consistently shooting itself in the foot What about love live I forgot that even happened because I played SIF and then they shutdown for 2 and then 2 shutdown Blazblue had a whole mobile game I didn’t play and then it died I don’t like live service games man.

KHUX

"I've Been Having These Weird Thoughts Lately..."

How do I describe khux without the extreme amount of power creep and how the game kind of just said "yeah all the dream eaters are powered by dead kids" like huh... I found it fun, but I was mostly just there to do raids and get nice costumes and I didn't pay much attention to the disney plots especially when they'd go "look, its agarabah!" and I'd go "please put more missions in daybreak town." I liked daybreak town, hanging out with my chirithy and pet and ephermer was trying his hardest to keep his friend alive and strelitzia wanted to meet our player but she died, there was a murder plot. The keyblade war being a bunch of kids was kind of nightmarish along the master manipulating everything to the future.

Kingdom hearts should have some lowkey side story nonsense where you play the direct to dvd Disney sequels like how they threw in a bonus boss from a disney short that disney hated But I'm not much of a KH player outside of KHUX. I'm glad KHUX stayed in theatre form but I kind of wish some more gameplay functions were kept outside of just Dark Road.

Maybe we shouldn’t put such lore heavy content in a mobile gacha game that will inevitably be shut down and possibly rendered unplayable outside of summary videos on youtube (shout out to everglow having everything documented though, lifesaver)

Edit: play our delisted mobile game Are you joking. "Like, Is Any of This for Real or Not?

Never Ever Releases/Vaporwave Mother 4/Oddity: I think once the soundtrack guy left and the huge leak showed it was smoke and mirrors and the sub hollowfied I think it was probably over for this even before the rebrand happened Coming winter 2014 dude deltarune has more chapters it’s over

20 year old mother 4

Every Pokemon Hack I forgot that was released with a demo and then never finished because the author got tired of making it/demotivated/vanished off the face of the earth

Chances are I probably won't need to update this page as much since I don't really play that many gachas anymore and more or less the only things I have that could potentially die are unpopular mmos. Feel free to mention your graveyards too... There's probably some I forgot over time too... Music theme: Lost Girl (Deltarune)
