Glitch User Gold is a guy who basically has like 20 billion terrible things happen to him subsequently in a row but continues tanking them because he's like a universal pincushion. (You can tell this guy was me just going “yeah, whatever, spooky spaghetti.”) Due to his connection to the unown after going missing in the ruins of alph, he's kinda gained the ability to mess around with electric objects. (Ketsuban can also do that.) The funny thing is that although the name of "glitch dimension" sounds more powerful, "glitch city" is actually the ultimate form (because in gen 2, glitch dimension is actually less broken than glitch city). Him and Ketsuban are attempting to be rivals but it’s severely one sided because Ketsuban literally has everything but the kitchen sink and is the most broken of the glitch users because of how gen 1 is the equivalent of a game being made through arcane wizard coding magic and scotch tape. A gameboy pokemon game is like, less than the size of this entire website. That’s crazy to think about. Gold hangs out with the HGSS cast but since he never gave out his name and has incredibly pale skin they've taken to calling him mold ethan.

Lyra is the most well adjusted and friendly of the glitch users because her power is so unwieldy that it doesn't even properly execute all the time. Since she's relatively harmless, she's allowed to leave the world more often. She's friendly but she's also really sad because her entire life basically fell apart for no reason and now she's not allowed to see her family anymore or her friends and there's a guy who looks like her friend but he's actually just someone else and like no one is explaining anything to her at all. However, Lyra's Acid Rain VS Red's Exploding ZZAZZ Bulbasaurs is a stand battle. Which pretty much was the inspiration to make this page expansion.
Fighting Game Setup: Lyra has weather based setups and chip damage with acid rain. And an umbrella to fight with like an evil mary poppins.
I must needs consult the sacred texts for party picks: *Opens up creepypasta wiki* This one was slightly more difficult because there's less pokemon associated with these glitches proper/less material to work with that isn't just defaulting to starters Note: Do I give these guys alternate names too like with the optional name selection screen or do I just have to deal with labeling everytime they interact with their actual timeline counterparts minus the ones that don't exist in headcanon timeline proper (Gold+ Crystal) Pokemon Stadium 2 Credits * but also like. This is very confusing to keep track of in my mind. Lyra's pretty much the tour guide of the glitch dimension/ Void area so Giratina's chill with her Arceus doesn't like gold either GIVE US A LITTLE CHANCE ALREADY. taking an alt name is admitting defeat. gold can be revived, crystal has to have some mon, lyra is for acid rain, notch eared pichu can't be transferred out of OG gen 4 and what not so its doubly forbidden for it to be shiny
Battle Tower Tycoons (Johto, Hoenn)
Crystal (Kris) and Brendan both have a location in terms of their glitch using. Which means as long as they are far away from the battle tower their powers don’t work and they’re entirely normal. So they’re also Lyra levels of friendliness, but the two both have a competitive streak. They love battling normal battles and not the weirdo glitch Pokémon that tend to roam the glitch dimension. They do make for good exp.
Fighting Game Setup: kris's personality is like chie, so she also fights like chie. I really need to get her more personality traits... Fighting Game Setup: Brendan has nothing, he is just some guy. He has the soot sack, so he throws pocket sand.
Glitch User May accidentally used her power during an argument with her friend and never figured out how to turn it off. Living in a groundhog day scenario where she lives the same day over and over, because time has stopped. As much as she wants to progress, it feels like she's exhausted herself of the world because the moment time starts moving again, things are going to be weird because she's gotten so used to people saying the same thing over and over again. It especially sucks when she wants to talk to her neighbor and he almost gets it... until the day resets, and then he doesn't. She's also got this weird berry which she accidentally used and it's uh... breaking reality a bit.
Fighting Game Setup: May can pop a time stop and also during Sun/Moon she had a battle girl pose so she's the karate girl now.
TBH I had no clue what to give these two starter wise for Hoenn... so I just went with a speedrun team and uhhh. 3 Zigzagoon +Abra + Swampert is the strat... for RS... I see.

Appearance wise the glitches are emerald exclusive, but I think emerald May's fit is garish so I'm sticking with OG Ruby. (Plus the "berry battery" glitch is from RS. Pomeg is Emerald.)
Out of all the characters aside from Lyra I think glitch May and Brendan really are the most "normal" despite May's complete lack of caring about anything and her weird skill set of being able to do nearly everything due to basically reliving the same day on loop. How many time loops are even in this story, like... I think it's 4. (Red, Gold, May, Dawn.) The loops are different length wise and event wise though obviously.
But since I'm out of good ideas, I pulled up ORAS Speedrun teams.
Of course Latios is there...
So then I pulled up the rival battles.
It was quite annoying figuring these two out.
They have the dynamic of Ruby and Sapphire from special/adventures
minus the fact that they keep tripping each other up by mistakenly thinking that it's "their" Brendan or May (they are from different timelines)
Sinnoh Users
Glitch User Dawn isn't really a glitch user as much as a glitch discoverer. She's the most aligned with her headcanon page. Dawn's consistently a chosen one, which sounds like it would be great! Note how I said one.
Someone had to draw the short end of the stick of being the chosen one, the one who lives and dies as a pawn, the one who will never be understood by others because of the power gap, the one who cannot make friends as nothing more than fleeting moments, the living unreachable ideal, and even when you think it’s over you’ll just be reincarnated again. She’s fine though, promise!
Every save, every run, every time she's in PLA, she goes through the same scenario of living and dying and losing all her pokemon as they all sort of blend into her memories. She can't even recall what her first team was anymore, does it matter when she'll be called to save the world again? For better or for worse, she’s tied to the concept of being a hero.
She's doing a way better job than Ketsuban though, that guy's a mess. As for her powers, the power of accessing this area known as the void, which I guess is the pokemon equivalent of the backrooms. (but all these places are.)
Lucas doesn't really have much going on and his power's an exact copy of Dawn, so there's nothing much to say, except for the fact that he was trapped in the void because he screwed up the execution. Also he's picked up a really archaic way of speaking. Fighting Game Setup: Dawn can actually fight and summon legendary pokemon like Arceus and Cresselia. I wanted to make her gaia online version look like a tired sleep could never fix. Fighting Game Setup: Compared to Dawn, Lucas is also some guy, so I gave him the explorer kit so now he has void teleporting like half the cast and a shovel.
Everything else pokemon wise is attacking on sight except for Dawn/Akari because she has the world's most powerful specialist vibes that say "try me." Minus Giratina except like sometimes with Dawn/Akari it just goes "Imao". The pokemon in everyone's party that stay with them are the ones that aren't offput by these kids and are essentially ride or die. Unlike Dawn, Lucas has kept his original starter with him the whole time but to be fair, he wasn't forcibly thrown through timelines Void Glitch before it was patched out of BDSP plus event pokemon are only for DP and were patched out of Platinum (Lucas was repping BDSP pre patch) Arceus's specialist girl ever and she hates it! Note: In spite of me going "Blue and Leaf are different" I've made Akari and Dawn the same for narrative purposes Also she can't die. The piece of God granted to her + Cresselia+ Hisuian Pokemon + Her latest first starter She is the exception as she can call other pokemon too without any input Note: Would it be better or worse if this empoleon was her first starter pick and it remembered but Dawn didn't because of all the time loops and she just treats it distantly Note 2: I've just decided Dawn also gets chucked into mystery dungeon a few times so she can talk to pokemon and this Empoleon is the same one every time. Dawn's life is a bad time. "Please let me out of the void" vs "I'm straight up not having a good time right now Arceus put me in multiple life altering time loops" fight "Please let me go home." "No." No one wants to admit it, but they all miss their friends dearly. "Stop looking at my scrapped content" Arceus is here like "SMH my ungrateful children, stop using Minecraft hacks and complaining to me when your stuff breaks and stop dying horribly"
Other Stuff
Other trainers from the protag headcanon zone exist abliet with a few changes. Most glitch users come from alternate
worlds since Fallers are a concept in universe for Pokemon Lore. The Rumors universe is a side universe that isn't really main
game compliant. Example 1 would be that Red in the verse looks like Pokespe Red but has tha mannerisms of Game Red. Blue Oak is
having a very difficult time in this world because a lot of incidental things keep happening to him and his friend group and his
brother's friend group for no reason (The one Fire and Leaf are in). The other brother, Cyan doesn't have many friends aside from
Yellow who he keeps saying isn't his friend, but lets Yellow hang around anyways.
Mini timeline (tentative)
The nature of the original journey within Kanto follows a blend of various canons. Ketsuban's events are on a separate timeline. Yellow's events from that manga arc don't happen because Red gets onto Mt. Silver plus since it's the game timeline the E4 isn't like, completely nutso.
Leaf and Terry did their journey before Fire, Fire does his with the LGPE cast which follows the events of the Sevii islands (plus Rocket) treated as a thing that "Red" and Co. didn't do.
To see more of these guys in action, there are two routes for them: the Rumors AU which goes into a completely different direction that's less pokemon centric but still has them,
and then just plain old fanfics on them. I tend to focus on them more in Rumors specifically. When that page is up I'll post it.

Yeah my bad, there was a template I was dead set on using for a bit until I was like "this STINKS" so I switched it out at the last minute. I should really make some sort of navigational page for all of rumors instead of always redirecting back to the sitemap.
