Contrasts of Stories
Stu, why are you posting about creepypasta content?
Because I’ve lost control of my life and it's way past October.
The Void Map
Swinging back to the teraleak for a bit. I’m the kind of person who picks and chooses what to use most of the time. Considering the various BW betas and alphas have some kind of like surreal white void world surrounded by scattering NPCs that would probably speak nonsense and physical worlds that make no geometric sense, that’s the frame of reference I want to go with whenever I speak of the void world/glitch world.
The distortion world from Platinum is giratina’s domain but there’s like, layers. Here, I’ll visualize what I’m going for.
The teraleak showed off some pretty interesting info in regards to like Arceus lore but all this does is slightly alter Ketsuban’s Chaos route in terms of “let’s reset everything to nothing again” which was already what I had in mind for him. Dawn’s still the chosen one who is really tired. I added in what pokemon can stand to be around these guys which is a limited number.
I think in terms of importance Gold ended up shooting up pretty far, huh… he’s always been like that.
Dawn’s the real outlier here when considering outside influence, but that’s because I’m pulling more from my headcanon version of her where she’s the ultimate chosen one whether she likes it or not!
By the way did you guys see that tokidoki officially commissioned by the Catholic Church anime figurine?
I’m convinced we’re on the weird timeline.
I need to give a logical reason of thought that rumorsverse would be a lot easier to explain if I finished playing persona 2 because the logic is similar of people saying things and enough people believing them to make the thing real. I should’ve finished more games while I had the chance to in college.
Playing FF14 and moving back to playing the older games is gonna probably be funny because I’m gonna see things in their proper context and be like “oh I did that raid in 14” or “hey, i saw that in 14!” Backwards logic.
Anyways, still trying to figure out how to balance out the stories. I’m thinking that rumors might be anthology based like patchworks where there are characters, but the plots are all segmented and not overarching.
As for the contrasting secondary protagonist…
Couldn’t it just be Scooby doo.
Oh yeah.
The best way to figure out this would just be one character’s story being Scooby doo and the other’s is still lethal company esque.
Every chapter is an episode.
Rumors is currently having an internal battle of having two entirely different universes, one that's pokemon centric on the glitch users and their scrapped world equivalent
, and another that has them as side characters.but still with the same scrapped world.
So there's two timelines in my mind which one is pokemon dominant, and the other isn't.
This only makes my work harder. I wouldn't even know how to handle the non pokemon timeline though because the cast would still be like, the 30 or so people that are working for the
glitch hunters group that is spread out globally and whatnot.
Options of alignment in the rumorsverse currently are:
1. The UN’s Interpol group that wasted money on a giant robot and therefore have no budget
2. A group of incredibly maladjusted superpowered angsty teenagers
3. Like, multiple cults that unintentionally hype up the teens
4. The real Pokemon God but it looks like he’s going to scam you with a crypto scheme
As for a human cast, aside from the groups mentioned in the OG Users page this is gonna be all over the place in terms
of OCs to fill out the rumor roster, OCs to fill out the rumor centric groups, and then random canon characters in the mix too.
Every single rumor guy knows the other guy and the circle is small as hell so basically it’s like one glitch hunter goes to a
doctor’s office who serves people afflicted by glitches and then they run into a cultist member or something.
And a lot of pokemon is inherently going to contrast hard as hell with the concept that I've got cooking in my mind, but I like that, I guess?
I love contrasts. It’s why Larry shot up to being one of my favorite Pokémon guys by concept alone of literally in a world of colorful characters and magic creatures he’s an office worker who’s got two shifts and is just tired. Like his signature move is being fake cheerful. I think Poppy is his kid and she’s a fan of Iono which only stresses him out more.
To be honest, I could also just have a modern and a medieval story for the concept of rumors (I still have that fantasy centric Pokémon story).
Two contrasting worlds.
Then I’d have to adjust all the glitch users to be non digital entities.
I’m not doing that.
Have you seen this guy?
Now you have!
Well, I think that’s all I have for now for this thing at the moment alongside another page. Back to editing the rest of the site.
If you look at all this from a glance…
This seems largely uncharacteristic of me and the site as a whole, especially when you look at my artwork, right? It’s mostly just cute, rather silly, mostly just goofing. Not serious at all.
Well, I’m a person who wants to be able to draw and write in different genres. Horror is a big leap from my usual cartoon cuteness.
I guess a lot of my drawings tend to just be cute but I want to be able to draw in all sorts of ways. Not just horror, stuff I’d consider “cool” as well. Do I consider horror cool? Not exactly. I’m not sure what I’m saying anymore.
Kirby is a horror?
Okay so what horror things have I interacted with? (Note: wouldn’t this all have been better for October? Note 2: I was working on the shrines.)
The funniest thing aside from myself being a wimp with horror is that there is a Nintendo adjacent series that I’ve been into for years that does nonchalantly use horror tropes but 1. It’s Kirby and 2. It’s literally the embodiment of the SpongeBob rollercoaster meme.
Because like if you list it out Kirby’s had body horror with the dark matter possession thing with dedede always getting the worst of it (bro had teeth on his stomach),
like, sectonia was body snatching for the sake of beauty and actively ruining her kingdom with her advisor wondering where everything went wrong and it gets to a point
where the pause menu goes “Kirby, you need to kill her for her eternal rest”. The contrast is doubled down when Kirby just blows up whatever’s in his way.
Most normal kirby flavor text: Queen Sectonia The evil queen who bewitched Taranza is motivated by beauty and world domination. She seized control of Floralia and oppressed the People of the Sky with her cruelty. It's time to face the true mastermind behind the curtain! Queen Sectonia DX Sectonia and Taranza were once good friends, but Sectonia became obsessed with vanity and delusions of grandeur. It wasn't long before her heart went evil, turning her into the power-hungry monarch she is today. Queen Sectonia is a mistress of manipulative magic. Once upon a time, she looked similar to her insectoid underlings, but her current beautiful yet deadly bee-like form is a body that she took over through the use of her magic. I wonder how the minions who knew her before felt, serving a mistress who changes her appearance like that? I think that stopping at nothing to sit on the throne, even going so far as to discard one’s true form, is one of the traits that makes a true final boss. But how exactly did Queen Sectonia actually get her hands on the mirror? Well, her underling Taranza stole it from the Mirror World, and gave it as tribute to his beauty-obsessed queen! Sadly, it was gazing into the mirror day after day that led to her mind being twisted towards tyranny by its power. Sectonia's parasitic species survives by leeching power from other life forms until they're weak enough to be controlled. The People of the Sky and King Dedede decided to fight back in an effort to save the planet Popstar from the evil queen.Sectonia has unleashed her terrible beauty. She has combined her form with that of the Dreamstalk and, in her madness, seeks rulership of not only Floralia but all of Popstar! Grant unto the wicked queen the eternal beauty sleep she so desires! Taranza's final words and offering can no longer reach her ears. The former queen has become a pitiable husk in the throes of madness after losing everything. She has consumed the world, and all she has left to cling to is her vanity. She's fed off countless hosts and now cannot remember her true form. A voice called out to help her, but it has since fallen silent. Before the night ends, she must be given her eternal beauty sleep.
Dark matter’s literally a malevolent force made by a being that can’t comprehend positive emotions so it’s aim is to make everyone miserable, magolor gets sent to hell (he got better though), multiple final bosses have ripped their soul out from their dying bodies in an attempt to kill Kirby, there’s an mirror that corrupts anyone who sees it for too long and it keeps making evil clones, there’s multiple malevolent artifacts that corrupt the people who use them and turn them into empty shells, the wish granting supercomputer in robobot decides to kill everyone and literally deletes a man’s soul from existence, robobot deciding “nah, brainwashing isn’t enough, let’s make meta knight a cyborg too”, the entire dark cult in star allies that had descriptions that had to be censored to the point it was actively detrimental to lore discussions. Like if you look at the current Kirby directors artwork sometimes (Shinya Kumazaki) he is on the same wavelength of the fanbase of drawing demonic horrors to then be inserted into Kirby. It’s dedication.
"Why did I reactivate such a terrible machine? Oh, I remember--I wanted to see her just one last time. How foolish! I should have known that no machine could make such a dream come true."
By the way, Magolor gets compared to Judas canonically in developer notes. What remains of Magolor is a sad shell. He's possessed by the limitless power of the Master Crown, imprisoned by the hatred and obsessions of prior rulers. Now...defeat it and free Magolor's soul! Kirby... Ugh! I hate having to rely on you, and your vacant stare when I revealed my grand plan was truly insulting. Well, let's see if you can break this thing on my head. If you can, then someday...hee hee heee...I may get to toy with you again!Director’s Gallery
Not all of those are Kirby though. My point still stands.
There is just something in Kirby that gets the large contrast of the childlike dream world and the directors just go “yo let’s add in the creatures from the nightmare dimension.” Even Sakurai did this after he left when he gave Marx new attacks for Smash Ultimate which involved him losing his eyes. The dubious creature. I mean aside from the march creepypasta reading I’m like 50-50 thinking the largest thing that made me make this kind of thing would be garn47/hit single so there is FNF influence. Just not from the actual pokemon related thing. Which I find mildly entertaining. Silly Billy has had more of an active impact than the actual pokemon centric mods.
Out of all the creepypasta I am aware of, I think “okay well if you have evil sonic (not Scourge, Metal, or the british super sonic from fleetway comics) Mario has to be there” and like Mario 64 and Devil Mario Power Star exist which proves once again everything in my mind revolves around sprite animation fight scenes.
And Luigi would just also be Mario 64 Luigi because L is real.
Mario would simply destroy any Sonic though because unlike Sonic who's split into multiple canons, it's all the same Mario.

Like I think there can be like, good rumors. It’s not all just evil bad guys. I just can’t bring myself to have a fully evil Mario.
Fundamentally the issue is “do I want to make this more lethal company like with the whole continuing evil entities thing where they send people to fight it or do i want this to be Devil May cry”
Okay the concept imagining in my mind of seeing a pokemon character do the judgement cut took me out for a minute like a prophetic vision

I could make this work, there’s literally a samurai Red and I’ve written about him like once
That would make a 5th Red on the roster of guys rotating in my brain.
Bro is multiplying like crazy.
I think my problem is I just see a regular normal thing and go “horror” like to me destiny is a horror because you’re telling me that the concept of fate is
real and everything done is preordained and people are not allowed to deviate from that path
What about FF14, that’s got a lot of horror tropes casually in it.
A lot of it is context based spoilers though.
Pandemonium is like the vibe I am thinking about though
We’ve got:
-
Surf Dracula
Cages
Horrible experiments that were shunned by their creators and discarded
Eric

Unfortunately attached to pandemonium are multiple guys who are big spoilers and the entire part of FF14 that I could attempt to talk about that I think I could inspire rumors with is attached to a large spoiler expansion that is basically like the one part of the game everyone tries to not spoil you on because it’s really good and the problem with me like posting anything will probably immediately lead into a spoiler because it’s like a decade old MMO, YouTube is relentless. I like how FF14 is an album for Soken and the sound team to do as many genres as they want for the raid themes to the point like when the FF4 fiends showed up they got Hyadain to arrange the remix
A lot of the problem is now that I’m no longer on campus I can’t play it as effectively since it’s an MMO and not a solo game (duty support did handle a lot of duties but not all of them) and the wifi here is worse and and also my laptop is fried to the point that a bunch of keys don’t work but it’s not like I can just buy a new one and it's just too intensive nowadays.
Okay let me get this to a different topic, watching the gameplay is also a lot different for playing it because like now I’m thinking about that one tweet that was like “it looks like ants fighting over a dorito.”
I feel like this chatroom went all over the place.
I feel like maybe there are also devils like from chainsaw man, but I'd need to actually read chainsaw man in order to properly figure out how to do that instead of learning about it secondhand from memes and my one friend who's into it.

I gave it a thought for a hot minute and like considering that rumors are based on things people believe to be true that are actually false there is a very good chance that the regular Rumors Red that I was saying looked like Pokemon Adventures Red is ALSO a rumor. Because of the concept of "red is alive on Mt. Silver" vs "red is dead on Mt. Silver" happens regardless of whatever story I'm using as inspiration for the users. Like people conceptualized that like, in youtube comments, even before the creepypasta things started setting in because in the games he literally disappears after you beat him. Like, that's a real and weird occurrence.
The basis of a Rumor is if enough people believe it and conceptualize it then it somehow becomes true in the world because magic is real. I'm thinking it could be a pokemon, maybe the unown, maybe a pokemon with imagination power, Giratina acts as the overlord of all the little squabbling half baked ideas stuck in the garbage bin dimension. Everyone is trying to ursurp Giratina.
Okay but what about the actual non ghost glitch Rumor Red then.
Oh no. That's 6. That's 6 Red's that aren't the actual Red. Did bro just abstract. He became a concept. Dude, get back into the story.
Let me use a visual to explain the amount of Reds that are currently here
Local ideas guy has figured out how to solve their problem of the writing hole that they made up and could've ignored, Real Red is still MIA.
Anyways, uhhh,
If Red wasn’t mountain boy then I could see him being a fisher guy because in Red to get the fishing rod you have to answer “yes” to get the rod
He gets Lapras too so like, get my boy some bait and let him be a fishing guy he’d love it
Apologies for the total incomprehensible ness. This is basically on the same wavelength of every long term project I’ve ever had that I’ve never written into prose anywhere.
Chatroom 3: Glitch Users need small teams?
My brain’s the dvd screensaver and when I’m not swamped with work I get thoughts.
Having a smaller roster of pokemon party partners for the glitch users means there’s more time to individually develop those pokemon but then I run the
risk of anyone who’s in the support cast having a big amount of pokemon—maybe even more once the PC is considered.
Everything kind of goes back to the trainer shaped trenchcoat problem.
Maybe instead of trying to have a long spanning story, I should make smaller bits and pieces like a puzzle piece.
I believeth those are called drabbles…
Rumors is kind of like SMT in that there are myths that become reality like ghosts. Is that not just yokai watch?
I guess so. Of course, I’m not gonna use actual religious stuff, I’m gonna try to avoid those. Stuff like cryptids are more in my area (but not indigenous ones for obvious reasons). Like the flatwoods creature (the alien guy), Jersey devil, moth man, Nessie, Bigfoot, idk. It’s kind of like in my mind that one poptropica cryptid hunter island. I wish yokai watch didn’t die as a franchise. I feel like it was kind of unceremoniously shot and left for dead since everyone propped it up to be the pokemon killer instead of just letting it like coexist in the same franchise of Mons.
I found a note on my phone that said IMPORTANT but when I went to open it all it said was foster’s home for imaginary friends… I think what I’m doing is making a hodgepodge of stuff I semi know mixed with stuff I don’t know, like SCPs.
I’m gonna start talking about bugs for a moment. I don’t even like bugs irl but like, centipedes are messed up. Too many legs.
Bug Talk (under the cut because of how squeamish bugs are)
I’m afraid of them but I like to study them in vile fascination. Female spiders are normally bigger than the males. Some spiders commit in cannibalism. There’s a mold spore that turns ants into zombies. Wasps are just like the most incredibly evil bug ever (but that’s well known.) Some of them basically infect a bug with their offspring and then eat them from the inside out. That’s a real horror. Mushrooms are on the same level of consuming decaying bodies and making their own zombie fungi (cordyceps.)
The Wikipedia page for parasite wasps has a quote from a researcher (Darwinism and natural selection suck though) where he’s like “I don’t believe there is a kind god when that kind of thing exists.”
I don’t think bug type Pokémon do all that, but there is an infestation move in gen 6. And the giant buff mosquito guy. Nihilego is like the parasite Pokémon but ultimately that thing is like a poison jellyfish that removes people’s inhibitions.
At one point a villain fuses with the Pokémon. She engages with you in a regular battle.
Okay so uh, here’s the roster for the fighting game hypothetical. Which was mostly just an excuse for me to try visualizing outfits in GaiaOnline… do you think I should make an OC closet room or something, I’ve got quite a few outfits like this just lying around with the avatar maker feature.
I kept going with this after the GaiaOnline thing. Pretty sure these are just going to be their default designs going forwards. Knowing me I'm just gonna keep making more of these.
Anyways, that’s all I have on this saga which is kind of like an explanation of my thought process that tends to be for like nearly every story I’ve made is either like absurdly in depth thoughts or just me writing it in one go. I’ll eventually post something more readable, probably to dreamwidth.
Singular Chatroom
Note: Consider this like an in universe expansion for glitch users since I couldn’t get the other page to work without breaking.

Hello? Is this thing on?
Testing, testing... howdy!
Rumor Hunter ---here, we’re doing a recording/powerpoint thing for ———-.
idiot! We're gonna have to edit out your name for the sake of not making us all walking targets to any other entity.
Oh, yeah, good point.
So last time, somewhere in between the borders of fiction and reality, the destroyed worlds made by errors layered up into their own world known
colloquially known as the Glitch World, for better or worse. Maybe sometimes called the void. I dunno. Denizens of the world tend to be defined as glitches, but they’re also a sub class
of a thing known as a Rumor, which are kind of like… slightly harder to explain? Whatever. Anyways, glitch guys tend to have glitch powers due to
being basically irregular abnormalities on the universe as a whole. Something that isn’t supposed to exist wouldn’t be very normal, right? They did something they weren't supposed to.
Does that add up? I got the explanation from another source and they told me to write it on a card. Which I did!
We're doing something different today and instead of making a document on the glitch users, we've decided we're gonna try describing every single one of their pokemon teams!
No point in that. You know I work for the people trying to like, handle your little friend group, right?
Uh, are they really my friend group? I kind of consider them more as like, freeloaders that happen to live in the same vicinity and town as me...
I literally saw you last week on Hoenn’s cycling road with the teleporting guy.
Erm, Lucas
is a very good friend of another friend of mine's cousin....
… moving on.
The current profile we've made on the glitch users and their pokemon currently in stock is... a bit of a mess. Of course, you know that they naturally repel pokemon and people away from them,
so I'm kind of surprised some of them even have those types of pokemon... Especially that Ketsuban
boy.
(Note: Link Revamped glitch user page here when done.)
I'm going to be honest, I don't know what half that stuff even means!
I'd say that the most dangerous one in the entire group would be Ketsuban
if he wasn't... like that.
A child?
I was going to say inattentive, but a child works too.
Abandon's
nothing like that, right? Isn’t he also Red? That’s weird to think about. It’s kind of like comic books, the multiverse or something! I hope it doesn’t get as complex as that.
Right, but abandon is ALSO from a video game, so there's something particularly weird with that one.
I mean, no one else blatantly displays that many traits of their respective glitch powers. Horns, wings... the uh, erratic movement. The general bad vibe.
(...I forgot to use their code names...)
Gold
does sometimes. So does Dawn.
Like Gold’s got the unown thing going on, Dawn just gets terrifying and glows and gains the voice of judgement and I fear for my life.
I don’t know why Ketsuban keeps trying to fight her because she just swats him like a bug. May
doesn’t have traits but the fact she knows so much on demand is a bit weird too! I don’t get time loops though, how old is everyone then…?
Okay, so maybe there’s a few that like, happen to be a bit abnormal and off putting, but again, none like Ketsuban, right?
To be fair, it only makes sense…. He was experimented on by your group, remember?
Okay, so Ketsuban might be chaotic evil, but he’s a little polite, and only breaks things on impulse, so as long as he gets enough attention he won’t start making trouble on purpose.
Wisteria’s
just mean. The problem with everyone is that Ketsuban is the guy who flaunts his power the most. We don't know the rest as well.
True, true. The guy causing the most trouble is the copy…
It could be worse, at least he looks normal. Ketsuban’s so pale that people keep stopping us whenever we’re going anywhere and they keep trying to feed him. Which he eats, but then he makes ME
foot the bill, even though Gold owes him money and like half of them can just make the mon—
Your life is full of the interpersonal drama of teens. Or whatever those guys are. Do they even age?
We might need to register YOU as something in our entity log.
What, why?
Because you’ve been hanging around these things for a long time period and you aren’t dead yet.
Oh yeah, good point.
Look, I think in life, the less questions you ask, the better off you are sometimes. It's worked so far, right?
I thought Rumors worked their best at disorienting people and making them fall into their vices when everything wasn’t known about them. You really do make my job actively harder than it already is.
***** has left the chat.
Ugh.
Meanwhile in a seperate group chat:
Note:
I still feel like the craziest part of the teraleak to glitch lore is 1. the pokemon pantheon is actually real and
2. scrapped arceus lore had it fight against the collective fear of living born from it's eggshell and I'm sitting here like "WHAT". What do you mean.
Bonus: A close encounter
I’ll have you know I had an encounter with something that wasn’t a glitch today.
Do tell me more.
So remember that weird raggedy doll I found a few weeks ago?
Oh no.
Yeah, yeah, so I was playing through my kart racing game, and I saw the doll sit up.
Oh, I was totally psyched out! I kept looking in the corner of my eye and it kept rising up and down!
But I wanted to finish up my game first.
So when I finally did, you’ll never guess!
The doll was floating!
So i threw it into my washing machine.
It stopped moving eventually, so I did a successful exorcism!
Please leave this chat.
I think I've heard enough today.
Actual Chatroom 2:
***** has entered.
Other person left?
Yeah, it’s just you and me again.
Let’s try getting a better less vague explanation as to this whole thing. I want to be able to eat my lunch in peace and our chatroom stuff gets filed.
Rumors and Glitches are in the branch of Supernatural things in our work division. Things that can be described as ghost stories, myths, collective manifestations of things that aren’t supposed to be there but are… the entities, as they’re fully referred to as. If you think about it, if you mention it, then somewhere, subsequently, it has to exist.
But the problem is, in our pokemon centric world, most of the time, unusual happenstances and activities are assumed to be pokemon.
Half the time we investigate these reports they’re just pranks by ghost types.
Or fairy types.
Or dark types.
Or any pokemon, really. You’d be surprised. Remember the “alien invasion” that was just a bunch of Beeheyem?
Please don’t remind me. I like having a reasonable viewpoint of the world so knowing there's something so... illogical bothers me on a daily basis.
Do you believe in religion? A lot of what I'm about to say is probably borderling blasphemous, but all we've got to work with is online witnesses making things up,
a briefing from a group of practiconers that I think is fronting a cult, and an illegal pdf from Sliph Co.
The heart of everything lies in creation. And to exhibit free will is to discard freely. And everything goes through the chain of command that was given to us by whatever you believe to be God.
I dont' want to say the name because I'm pretty sure this is like, the actual name and my eyes will start bleeding or something insane.
"Creations are discarded or unfinished, which is the nature of all creations.
But to create something leads to the destruction of another, but the residuals of the energy goes somewhere."
Dang, whoever is writing the pdf shouldn't have been a scientist at Sliph, they should've been a bard or something.
The (witness) person before you in our chat used a comic analogy, but that’s pretty much how it is.
There’s just simply a world full of unused concepts that exists in parallel to ours. Maybe worlds upon worlds, stacked onto an infinite layer that just… is.
This becomes a large problem when considering how many concepts and things exist in tandem
like some kind of bizarre domino stack of weird to parse through on top of the "everything we investigate is actually a pokemon or a prank".
Which means when we do deal with an actual real tangible thing there's a 50-50 chance of like,
depending on how much has been SAID about the entity we're facing will lead to how much hell we go through.
" Knowledge is power, and to have full knowledge is a liberation as much as it is a shackle."
That's the last thing on the practice briefing, by the way. We really need to do something about those guys before they end up summoning something we need to clean up.
Every time someone has an idea and scraps it? Into the void it goes. The info remains,
but the context of what it was for doesn’t. So it’s a garbled piece of… something.
Corrupted pieces that refused to fade into nothing, hence the corruption.
Data is the best way to describe it because they started manifesting as data once electronics picked up.
Things that were started and that spread throughout.
You know, all the playground stuff we once used to make up as kids, stuff like the pokegods, new eevee evolutions, just things that were obviously our imagination just becoming reality.
It might be dream based. That’s confusing. Scrap that,
go for science, you’re the logics guy anyways… They could be related to space time distortions, anomalies, stuff that’s way above my level of understanding based on the data I get online.
You got these online?
Yeah, looked up on a forum.
Note to self, find and scrub forums more often.
So ultra beasts are the same as the glitches…? Those are real?
I’d say they’re in similar areas. Most of our jobs tend to overlap anyways but UBs are in alola while meanwhile these guys are located in just the neighboring regions from Kanto to Sinnoh.
There's that kid in alola that managed to get the UBs to act normal, right?
If only they weren’t so actively hostile, then some could cohabit as pokemon in their own right.
They can’t. Our job motto is our work.
"Contain and Secure. If not, Destroy."
Then it's our fault.
There’s too much built up resentment because we keep getting rid of them as they manifest.
Imagine it this way, knowing you were made and discarded on a whim and then when you
properly exist everyone puts a giant microscope on you or destroys you?
Scrapped and unstable and in pain whenever they accidentally do manifest in reality.
It’s a tragic sort of fragile non-life. Rejected by their creators, the world, denied a chance of existence.
But our work isn’t going to stop just because some of us pity the things. Some of them are actively malicious rather than just lashing out of primal instinct. And not to mention the ones that spread incredibly quick as an invasive species. But we should move on to the more dangerous ones. Because if they can think, they can have far more emotions than anger.
Personified grudges? I think. Or like, enough people thought about them as human so they just started looking human...?
Like the glitch users.
Exactly. Well, a 50-50 chance of hostility depending on which one you run into. Plus the fact they’re mostly childlike, which means you can keep them almost relatively… contained… is the best word to use, right? If you run into one and handle it the right way, everyone walks away and no one gets hurt. Unless they hunt you down as a slight.
Do they run the risk of being “alternates?” I rememver hearing about that in the briefing.
Definitely fit in that sub category. Have you seen some of them? We’ve had multiple incidents of them outright following around the people they resemble the most. The interactions always go
terribly, but it’s just sad. Most of the time they’re just confused as to why depending on how much they’ve properly manifested. If it looks human and acts human it throws you off. But
they can’t be human, right?
They can't die. They can only fade away. I'v watched the footage.
All they ever do is say “I just wanted to exist…, I just wanted to see my friends again.”
One of the most destructive ones just cries out for his mom and that he wants to go home.
How in the world am I not supposed to feel pity?
Gah, this is headache inducing. I liked my job easier when it was just “point a weapon at a screaming monster, ask questions later.” I never should've gone for that shady ad listing...
We'll continue this later. Don't pity something just because it looks human.
***has left the conversation.
What a mess.

Author Notes:
(I'm making a thing called the "chatrooms" saga I guess.
Made it up and now it's becoming a new sort of thing which will last as long as 1. I keep making ideas and slacking off on actual stories and 2. Me not wanting to break the main page with images..)
I’ve accepted that every time I mention any glitch user
they will oscillate between creepy chaos person or sad pathetic sopping wet cat
and I will never be consistent because it’s not like pokemon glitches are 100% consistent either between benevolence or destruction.
Wisteria however has been a menace since day 1 of his conception I thought “what if Ketsuban made a clone of himself that sucked so much that the clone just wanted everyone dead.”
His behavior has definitely changed past conception of "sad weepy crybaby" where he jarringly goes between that and extreme violence.
Like are the glitches they have manifesting as antagoinstic forces and these users are just the unlucky wielders of such power or just a thing that is there
and whatever people use with its powers is on them. Is it a primal evil or just a misunderstood collective
trying to get people to back off before they accidentally erase themselves from existence like the users did? Is it a gift or a curse?
Am I putting way too much thought into essentially what was me deciding to make an OC after watching JJK and deciding to retroactively glue lore onto it? Is this way too dramatic for a pokemon story?
Yes.
The glitch interpol guys almost get it, but they refuse to label the glitch users as human. So it's miscommunication all the way down because all the glitch centric companies and meddlers
don't want to let the others know anything which leads to all the problems of constant retaliation.
(Note: i think the funniest part of all this write up is that majority of the unused pokemon that have been revealed so far look like… this.
Truly the most bizzare off putting mons still come from gen 1 proper which I guess is why all of the kanto glitch users are the most overpowered.)

(It's just a large meta joke all the way down of me going "entities, creepy things, oh scary, uhhh, I think stealth rock would obliterate
the shit out of a weird glitch pokemon because the inevitable power creep of later gens means that majority of the glitch users would not be able to handle the weather wars.")
(This also answers my personal question of "do I want this to be dramatic,
sad, or comedic in like the worst way possible" and I think the answer is "yes."
Cynical corporate business productions sending underpaid workers to handle
the stuff that the creator looked at and said "EW" at.
)
(I suppose for the sake of making this sound somewhat serious, maybe they’re all dramatically off putting. Like put through a filter or something. Like the neopets ghost or zombie paintbrush.)
Alternatively they could also just look like the beta gen 3 concept art
Good Aus.
This is single-handedly more terrifying than anything I could ever create in my life.
And look at this guy! This is truly the greatest injustice.
Look at him.
He’s so round. Why isn’t he in a game.
The elephant in the room I'm not addressing is the fact the glitch users so far have primarily existed in this vague jokepost esque world in my mind where as much
as I can say "oh it's a bit sad that all these guys want to do is exist and they are sad" this exists currently in the same world where I go "mario punches the shit out of sonic.exe
and he does the BLJ " be for real
I'm literally making all of this up as I go. It's great but it's also a mess.
Demons are just weird pokemon...
Attempting to summon a glitch user is virtually indistinguishable from summoning an actual entity.
The thing is glitch rituals are kind of so stupid in universe to pull off that no one would willingly do them in order.
Like who's going to believe that if you bike fast enough in Jubilife you'll just end up in the void.
This is all in reference of how glitches are like in pokemon games.
Most Rumors operate on demon logic, so like, summoning circles, sacrifices, blood, whatever.
Glitch Users are a small amount in the world of rumors. That's pretty established. There's a bit of an "infection" thing going on whenever
anyone overuses their powers to the point they start showing weird traits. Ketsuban shows off the most because he tends to abuse his power
to do thinks ranging from harmless weird pranks to literal crimes. Eventually the guy
figures out how to not make clones that want to kill him (Wisteria was not one of those clones, bro was born a hater.)
There are people who go into the void who also end up with the same infection types. Basically, they're just marked as "disposable."
Occasionally the mark wears off but for the most part anyone who isn't a normal part of the world will be hunted down.
I like to think that in universe Cinnabar island is cursed because when they were experimenting on Mew before gen 1's start they accidentally awakened Missingno.
Another thing about rumors is that if you start making fun of them that they lose their varied sets of powers or if people can't get the story straight it causes problems.
This is what is referred to as "the agenda."

If you make enough fun of the terrifying thing and believe it then they get weak, so if you're either A. a skeptic or B.
ignorant, you can actually defeat a weaker rumor if they need to rely on psychological things. C. Is the option in which another person's agenda is put against the first and they can counter each other.
The agenda is just another version of slander if the reader is heavily biased and ignores context to make a character look bad or look good and then they go online to make fun of the character.
It’s just another reading comprehension joke. But I think it would be hilarious if characters were actually affected by if the
readers in universe didn’t like them or not. Like how on tumblr people used to believe that there was a secret season of Sherlock and another show because their endings were so bad that the site basically maniuplated itsef into believing it was real.

The amount of mystery they have let's them be stronger because like, the more something is explained or blatantly told about then the less you have to fear.

The thing you fear the most is the unknown, after all.
Or like, a giant yelling screaming monster. I'd be afraid of that for about 15 minutes unless I can respawn in which case eventually I'd just be annoyed. Get new material.
Research Corner
✍️ Anyways uhhh here’s stuff I’m gonna be looking into I guess.
Anti copyright protections (not the fake anti piracy ones)
- Gimmick! Black Hole is a good example.
- rayman 2 had the pirate head take up the whole screen even with faulty legit CDs
- recall how in older pokemon games if the piracy detection went off the pokeballs would be spinning indefinitely
-snood.
- what’s that game on TCRF that’s like “hello hacker when I find you I’ll break your legs”
- there was one for bootleg FRLG copies that was like “buy it or die”
- the faker ones are usually “if you pirate a character will tell you to die and bleed and leak your IP Address like evil Nintendo putting in evil Mario because someone got a reproduction cart of SMB3 for the GBA from a secondhand shop” and like the only good one was the Mario party DS one tbh because it was like the first one to be made and everything after missed the point
Better research into arbritatry code execution/speedrun Strats
- my problem is that any time I hear about a code or glitch it sounds like a wizard did it so my understanding of glitches is indistinguishable from magic because I have Zero coding knowledge every time I work off a template something breaks and it looks like ass
More Pokemon glitches/pokegods/ playground rumor things
- going back to my old buddy internet archive and scouring long dead forums, my favorite!
What about the other elephant in the room in regards to rumors.
I already explained this on the page proper that I haven’t updated, but they’re based on online stories but not 1 to 1. Basically what happens in MB where all sorts of nightmare hypotheticals start coming to life because of Wallachia or something, it's been years since I've even thought
about MB outside of watching tourneys.
Larger issue at hand for the whole “I need the glitch Interpol/SCP ripoff group to actually fight monsters of sorts”
is 1. In spite of being a casual horror fan I am deadly afraid of horror in general and jumpscares and screamers and gore
2. Most things that are horror related/adjacent are reliant on literally everything in 1
3. I haven’t interacted with any kind of largely adjacent horror/creepy thing video
game related in months because of point 1 and reading through them
or hearing a reading takes me out a lot of times because they’ll go for
the thing of “was the game hacked because the normal mascot was screaming
and hyperrealistic blood and a scary thing happened and a demon or something”
and are as subtle as getting a brick thrown through a window that says “BOO”
which turns into another subset of “how serious am I even making this hypothetical
story scenario if I ever write it”
What was my first intro to creepypasta related stuff anyways, yuriofwind audio readings... the scary jigglypuff thumbnail was there too.
I feel like the hardest thing about glitch users is trying to explain an origin for them
in universe because the OG premise was “idk lmao” and now I have to actually give it
a reasonable existence. Rumors are far easier because it’s literally just the
collective unconscious SMT style.
I’m thinking the way to reconcile how the glitch users come about is just saying the origin differs every time because like,
are they actual pokemon trainers, or just the usual haunted game cartridge thing like abandon or is he the exceptional case.
This is what happens when you don't reign in plot bunnies, they start multiplying.
Also I need to get a grip on what I'm doing with Red because so far Rumors has like. 5 Reds. 2 normal ones because I've got a regular Red and Fire and Leaf as part of the twins thing and Fire is affected by false red in terms of an existential crisis as part of his character arc,
then 3 because of the glitch users.
The problem is if I go with the creepypasta roster thing then there's a good chance there could be a 4th Red if I don't stack creepypastas.
Currently because Abandon's based on the later iteration of GR, Ketsuban is based on GR but he goes in the opposite direction and just loses it,
Wisteria is based on Creepy black (b/c the OG story starred Red),
which means there is a missing Red that is centered on Mt. Silver specifically with Rival or with Gold/Blake/Silver/why's this guy got so many names.
The problem of me NOT combining stories and then making up my own OC glitch users on top of that leads to a problem with the other kanto guys so like there's a
ghost leaf because of abandon lonliness (that's how it's spelled, there's no E),
but fire's dead in that one, so that's fine because I don't have to think about the twins that much aside from like 2 stories.
Ghost Leaf gets her own team of haunted eevees and eeveelutions like Zombreon and the uhhh the green one.
I am NOT remembering all these names off the top of my head.
What's not fine is because I made Terry exist to make the FRLG guys seperate from the Gen 1 kanto trio
there's an unaccounted for Rival running around because the one in lonliness isn't him Nor is he the same one as Blue Tears, that's Cyan.
So currently, to explain this issue, there's Fire (False Red, living), Fire (lonliness, dead), Red (Blue Tears, dead ), Red (Easter Egg, also dead),
and Gold (who doesn't have a pre FNF story where he gets affected by Rival, which is the issue at hand, because bro gets murked by everyone but him), and I don't want to combine the premises because the glitch users live seperate from each other.
None of the characters prior to rumors have any connection because the layers of the glitch dimension have people locked into a few areas. So Leaf would be by Pokemon Tower, Cyan by Mt. Silver, and
the issue is there's a Red on Mt. Silver that isn't accounted for because Ketsuban's running around glitch city in story proper and only pops up by Cinnabar Island until he figures out a
way to leave which lands him in Sinnoh of all places, meeting an OC and Dawn who just got back from Hisui, and then starting a mess.
Writers hate this logical fallacy! Unaccounted for haunted ghost ruining the premise!
GET OFF THE MOUNTAIN
The reason they are seperate is because I "love" making things complicated for myself, if you can't tell already.
(But the Gold Centric stories got glued together somehow in a narrative loop of "he dies, unown happen.")
POV: You the reader listening to me ramble about this stuff
Myo doesn't have this issue of "too many Reds" because she's solely original, doesn't have the extreme imposter syndrome of the Red(s) because she's basically just
"I'm sad because I don't exist in Gen 1 proper and only on like paper" and would rather
be nice instead of you know, blowing up because she hard counters Ketsuban b/c her power is based on the female symbol glitch.
The creepypasta premise gets dropped for later characters because gen 1 and 2 really do make up the bulk of creepypastas
at the time and like, what the heck am I gonna do with something that's so ultra specific, better to keep that seperate from the users and just use them as is in terms of Entities.
And there's less to work with to make new glitch users because glitches as a whole that are iconic and weird immediately drop during Gen 5. I was pushing it with Lyra until I remembered acid rain,
but like who's gonna take sky drop and make that into an ultra specific power when it got patched immediately in the next gen.
I think narrative wise the factor of the Red bros all having different levels of feeling like they got shafted is kind of hilarious when contrasted with Kris ,
who should have that rivalry/level of borderline hate the bros have towards everyone else
because Kris literally was replaced with Lyra unlike the fanon narrative for the boys.
She was actually forgotten about when making HGSS during dev interviews where it's like "wait, who's Kris?". Her only notable debut for years was when she returned in Masters.
Will I account for the missingno sighting in gen 6.
Tbh I kinda forgot that happened because I didn't play gen 6 on release.
The thing is I think Horror stuff interests me not from like a sense of horror or being like macabre and disturbing and me somehow going like “haha, cool” because that’s not really it,
I’m kinda into horror from a narrative analytical and psychological sense of scope where I go “that’s gotta be scary as hell” for stuff
like losing your autonomy and mind and like your sense of self whether by zombies or vampires or ghosts and an underlying sense of tragedy
when everything could’ve been avoided in the murder mansion if the group of idiots didn’t go into the murder mansion and the concept of like
the survivors will never be the same if they survived like when I kind of watched A quiet place during college (I say kind of because I admit,
I’m a weenie and seeing a giant monster and blood and screaming and stuff freaks me out. I couldn’t even watch grey’s anatomy for long periods of time even though I know it’s fake.)
What I’m envisioning might be an entirely different genre. I believe I might be thinking of gothic victorian novels with sin and guilt. I’m thinking existential like the twilight zone.
Symbolism. Note: I’m not sure if horror is going to be the big thing like how for a while I got into medieval novels because of FF14.
How many horror things have I even engaged with. Tbh I think the most I’ve done with it is watch a handful of YouTubers play through games and me frantically look away whenever I feel a jumpscare about to happen. (This happens even with silent hill and RE.)
Just start listening to horror podcasts or something if the visuals are a problem.
This is an entirely unrelated anecdotal thing but I need to play more RPGMaker horror games.
I might be putting way too much thought into all of this and I should probably just write the things instead of out-thinking myself.
Collages
A collection of various images that were created for the chatrooms saga and glitch users
pages here for the sake of quick referencing because they're really probably the only
part that will be consistent.
OG glitch users page:

Here's the things I made for the chatrooms saga collage wise.
Sometimes competent, sometimes stupid.
Bonus: Actual unused pokemon designs:
Behold, the weirdos!
Out of context this all looks like shitposts tbh.
Addenum:
Learning that FRLG actually has had a massive exploit glitch found this year through using the mail item that can bust the game in half and add in ACE has gotta be the best worst timing for me
I guess the twins really did become glitch users after all!
To me programming is indistinguishable from actual magic because of what coders and tech people can do with like, a single Ruby or C+ programming tool. They’ll be coding doom onto every site. Compared to me, the person who tried learning coding and failed multiple classes because it was just math again, it’s just outright arcane.
Rock on, coders.
You just have to understand that instead of writing sometimes I just go completely nuts and create an entire subsection of incomprehensibleness to myself and potential viewers because my thought process means I need to get the little thoughts and images out of my head no matter how cringe and lame and weird they can come off as because otherwise I am driven mad in my IRL because I want to go through the process of creating and have no time or energy to so they plague me.
It’s the combo of me being into lost media and scrapped concepts and glitches plus the concept of those things still existing on a scale like it’s toy story or something.
dolor sit amet
Not much of a Nano Thing as much as its a side project of me just going and overexplaining ideas as a form of thought generating and also procrasinating actually writing them. This one was heavily rumors centric because I decided to not work on the actual page proper. Currently just setting up stuff if you can't tell by the fast updates. They're not in order either. My bad. To make it make slightly more sense though I decided to outright just combine a few of the chatroom pages so there's a better cohesion. Put under spoiler bars as usual. This one got edited quite a few times...
